MINI LIFT
A Mini Breast Lift, also known as a Benelli Lift, is an excellent option for women with mild breast sagging who want subtle lifting with minimal scarring. Commonly referred to as a periareolar lift, donut lift, or minimal circumareolar lift, this technique is often recommended for patients undergoing breast lift surgery in Charlotte, NC alongside breast augmentation. During the procedure, Dr. Peter Capizzi makes a carefully placed incision around the edge of the areola, removes excess skin, and repositions the nipple-areola complex approximately 1–2 cm to create a firmer, more youthful breast contour while keeping visible scarring to a minimum.
With more than 10,000 successful breast procedures, Dr. Peter Capizzi is recognized as one of the leading providers of breast lift surgery in Charlotte. Every procedure is customized to restore youthful breast shape, improve symmetry, and create natural-looking results that complement your body. Depending on your goals, a breast lift (mastopexy) can be performed on its own or combined with breast augmentation or a Mommy Makeover to restore both breast position and volume while enhancing your overall silhouette and confidence.
Moderate Lift
At Capizzi MD, a Moderate Lift is a breast lift option designed for women with moderate sagging, where the nipple sits slightly below the breast crease but not pointing downward.
This technique provides more lift and reshaping than a Mini Lift, yet is less extensive than a Full Lift. Typically performed with periareolar (around the nipple) and crease incisions—it allows the surgeon to remove excess skin, reposition the nipple-areolar complex higher, and refine breast contour without the longer anchor-shaped incision.
FULL LIFT
In cases where the breasts are severely sagging with the areola falling below the crease, Your surgeon may recommend a traditional, full mastopexy. In this type of breast lift, the nipple can be elevated up to 8 cm or more, depending on the desired final result. An incision in the shape of an upside-down “T” is created, extending from the outer boundary of the areola, then downwards and across the breast crease, aligning with the body’s natural curvature. As with the Benelli Lift, excess tissue is then removed and the nipple is raised to a more appealing location.
Our surgeon’s skill and experience with breast lift procedures ensures that nipple sensation remains intact. With this type of lift, future breast-feeding remains an option for those who have not given birth.
